WARDOGS Logistics Pilot Runbook: The First 60 Seconds Decide the Match

WARDOGS Logistics Pilot Runbook: The First 60 Seconds Decide the Match video

A logistics pilot is not carrying their own gear. They are carrying the squad’s gear. Every takeoff is a risk and every landing is a test. Here is the whole decision chain, from a pilot doing it live.

Three jobs in the first 60 seconds

Every match opens with a sprint for the towers. Order matters.

  1. Buy your own kit first. If you get shot down, you still have something usable instead of respawning empty.
  2. Claim the FOB and the large hammer if nobody else does. Pilots call it out. If nobody calls it, take it. Ground players can start building immediately.
  3. Load supplies before you lift. Do not wait forever if you want the tower. If someone is next to you, take them.

Every extra tower you hold gives another code, and codes drag the Control Zone toward your side. Taking towers is winning.

One rule: turn profit off

This is the mistake he made. A FOB carries a 25% profit margin by default, and a base FOB costs 2,500. Leave it on and you are charging your own team extra.

Check the price setting before you lift. This is worth more than any flight trick.

Four supply types, matched to progress

Supply typeWhen the base needs it
Building suppliesEarliest. The base is going up and everyone is building
AmmoOnce mortars and SAM sites are standing
Mechanical suppliesFor the advanced stuff — CRAM and drills want it
FuelAfter a drill exists. Dragging the zone, running drills and refill sites all burn fuel

Let the map tell you what to carry. Hover a FOB and it shows what it has and what it lacks. Check it on the way back so you know what to load next run.

Three flight tricks

Slow down. Pitch the nose up, drop collective all the way, and glide in. The key is to start early. Do it too late and you arrive hot, exactly like his first attempt.

Be gentle when low. Hovering near the ground, small inputs only. Big ones make you rock side to side until you lose it.

Drop crates from height. Every crate has its own fall distance and speed limit. With no passengers aboard, dropping from a sensible height beats landing.

Two settings worth remembering: press F to unlock the helicopter (he says he forgets every time), and the passenger panel shows who has a parachute — if everyone does, let them jump instead of landing.

Where the money comes from

Logistics is a high-income role.

  • Every passenger who survives pays you, and they can tip on top.
  • When they get kills after you drop them, you earn too.
  • Dropping into the Hot Zone pays a tactical deployment bonus, higher than a normal drop.

Dying less

  • Join a squad. Press Escape and join one. Ground callouts and squad comms depend on it.
  • Announce your route before you lift. If someone wants the front line, tell them “supplies at the back base first, then I will fly you in”. Nobody likes waiting blind.
  • Let someone else take the next run. Flying a second trip is worse than letting another pilot fly the first.

Sources and boundaries

Towers and codes, the Control Zone, supply types, FOB pricing and profit, and the Hot Zone deployment bonus come from the Steam store page and official material. Every operating detail — the 25% profit default, what each supply type is used for, the slowing and low-hover technique, the parachute panel and tip income — comes from the creator’s live video What Playing Logistics in WARDOGS Actually Looks Like (TinyTank800, 2026-09-01). That is creator field-testing, not an official numbers table.

For the wider transport and vehicle trade-offs, see the vehicles and logistics guide. This page only covers what a pilot does inside one match. Prices and supply demand shift with patches, so re-check after updates. The embedded video is the creator’s recording (3G2ov9FCNx8).
