WARDOGS Supporter Pack: What Is Inside and Is It Worth It
Five cosmetic items, $12.99, base game required. The full contents list, the official no-monetisation pledges and how to decide before paying.
Short answer: the WARDOGS Supporter Pack is an optional cosmetics-only DLC — three rifle camos, one Littlebird helicopter camo and a Supporter icon on the scoreboard that you can hide in the settings; $12.99 in the US and ¥1,580 in Japan, and it requires the base game. It contains no stats, no unlocks and no in-game currency. Whether it is worth buying comes down to two things: whether you plan to play long term, and whether you want those cosmetics. The developer states the “we do not sell power” position as three explicit pledges on the same page.
What is actually inside the pack
The official Steam DLC page lists the contents item by item, and all of them are cosmetic:
| Content | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Valkyra Branded A-91 Rifle Camo | Rifle camo | A paint scheme for the A-91 |
| Lonestar Branded Bushmaster Camo | Rifle camo | A paint scheme for the Bushmaster |
| Manticore Branded KH-2002 Camo | Rifle camo | A paint scheme for the KH-2002 |
| Littlebird Helicopter “Taxi” Camo | Helicopter camo | A paint scheme for the Littlebird |
| Supporter Icon on scoreboard | Badge | A scoreboard icon, hideable in the settings |
Price, requirement and bundle relationship
| Item | Detail | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| US price | $12.99 | Steam DLC store page |
| Japanese price | ¥1,580 | Steam store API (Japan) |
| Requirement | Needs the base game WARDOGS | Steam store notice |
| Supporter Edition | A bundle containing 2 items: the base game plus the Supporter Pack | Steam bundle listing |
| Does it affect stats? | No; no weapons, progress, cash or unlocks | Official contents list |
One thing worth checking before paying: the developer has not announced a way to upgrade to the Supporter Edition by paying only the difference after buying the base game. The community has raised exactly that question on Reddit and in the Steam discussions with no official answer. So this page writes “not announced” rather than drawing a conclusion for them.
Why it cannot affect balance
The part worth remembering is not the five cosmetics but the three pledges the developer writes on the same page — they define what this DLC is:
- No monetisation at any point during Early Access. The official text says there will be no monetisation during Early Access with the sole exception of this optional supporter edition.
- In-game cash and gold bars will never be sold. The official wording is that they must be earned through play.
- Buying camos directly will never be allowed. The developer’s reason is that a camo should show how much a player worked for it, not how much money they have.
In other words, the pack does not make you stronger and does not skip progress; what you buy is development support plus a small visible marker. If what you care about is stats or faster unlocks, this DLC gives you exactly nothing.
Three steps to decide
- First confirm you will play long term. If you only want to try this kind of large-scale tactical shooter, play the base game first. Come back to the DLC once you know you are staying.
- Then check whether what you want is cosmetic. If you want camos and badges, this fits; if you want weapons, vehicles or faster unlocks, it does not help.
- Finally confirm which version you are buying. On the store page check that the bundle shows 2 items (base game plus Supporter Pack). Check that it warns the base game is required, so you do not buy twice.
The question the developer has not answered
The most common follow-up in the community is: “I already own the base game — can I pay the difference to upgrade?” As of now the Steam page offers only the bundle as a purchase form, and neither the announcement feed nor the store page describes an upgrade path. The right way to handle it is therefore to check the available versions on the purchase page yourself rather than rely on any third-party claim. That is also why this topic has its own page here: the same question keeps coming up on Reddit and in the Steam discussions with no authoritative answer.
Sources and boundaries
The contents list, the price, the base-game requirement and the three monetisation pledges all come from the official Steam DLC store page for WARDOGS - Supporter Pack. The base-game status, release date and price ladder come from the official Steam store page and the official announcement feed. The Japanese price was read through the Steam store API. The repeated community question about paying the difference appears in this r/WarDogs thread, and it still has no official answer. This page records that the question exists, without answering it.
This page only covers the contents of this DLC and the decision around it. For whether to buy the game at all, see the pre-purchase checklist. For price and release facts, see the release date page. The cover image is a site-made illustration rather than official artwork; for how the five items actually look in game, trust the game itself and the official pages.
