Steam currently divides WARDOGS PC requirements into minimum and recommended tiers. The minimum tier targets 1080p at low settings with upscaling; the recommended tier targets 1440p or 4K at medium settings. Use the table below to check your PC directly.

These are the targets published by the distributor on Steam, not a performance guarantee for every situation. Steam also lists Easy Anti-Cheat and kernel-level anti-cheat, while Steam Deck compatibility remains Unknown; desktop PC requirements cannot be used to predict handheld performance.

Which tier does my PC fit?

Below minimum

If your CPU, GPU or memory falls below any item in the minimum row, do not treat “it launches” as evidence of stable play. Upgrade the graphics card or memory first, then reconsider the purchase; for a below-minimum laptop, wait for Early Access testing or use a confirmed refund window.

Meets minimum

Set expectations around 1080p, low settings, upscaling and a 60 FPS target. Full multiplayer firefights with vehicles and destruction can fall below that target, so leave room to close background apps and reduce shadows or effects.

Use 1440p Medium with a native target above 70 FPS as the official reference. At 4K, Steam instead targets Medium settings and 60 FPS or higher with upscaling. Recommended does not promise Ultra settings or high refresh rates; verify higher targets on your own hardware.

A faster CPU or GPU mainly gives you more headroom for image quality and heavy fights. Steam has not published per-GPU, per-map or 240 Hz benchmarks, so do not infer a fixed frame rate from the model name alone.

PC checks before buying

  1. Confirm a 64-bit operating system. Both Steam rows require 64-bit Windows; do not treat a 32-bit system as “close enough.”
  2. Check CPU and GPU separately. Meeting only one of them does not meet the full row. Compare a laptop GPU by its exact model and power limit, not just its product family.
  3. Leave headroom beyond 16 GB memory. 16 GB appears in both rows, making it the shared official threshold; close unnecessary browser, recording and voice-chat processes before testing.
  4. Reserve at least 50 GB free space. That is the current store listing and does not guarantee future patches will never add more. Check the target drive again before installation.
  5. Use a stable broadband connection. WARDOGS is an online multiplayer FPS; download capability alone does not prove that latency and packet loss suit a full match.
  6. Start from the official target settings. On the minimum tier, begin with low settings and 1080p upscaling; on the recommended tier, try 1440p Medium. DLSS, FSR, XeSS and frame-generation presets should be checked in the Early Access settings menu.

The table answers “does my PC meet the official target?” Buying decisions should also account for your network, background workload, disk space and preferred resolution, then be checked again after Early Access updates.

What Players Ask Under the Video

  • The top comment is a long-time viewer: “Anything JackFrags uploads, I am supporting. Been around 10 years or so now.”
  • That footage was the widest public look at 100-player fights, so the hardware questions started immediately after.
