WARDOGS Building and Destruction Guide: Chokepoints, Bases, and New Routes
Understand how WARDOGS construction and destruction change chokepoints, forward bases, and Control Zone approaches.

What building and destruction mean in WARDOGS
WARDOGS combines construction and destruction inside its tactical sandbox. Team17 describes building forward positions and using rockets, tanks, or artillery to damage structures. These systems are tied to the Control Zone, vehicles, and communication; they are not a separate creative mode.
Why the terrain matters
If every building and route were permanent, the first successful defense could decide the entire match. Construction lets a team protect a supply line or rally point, while destruction lets the other team create a new angle. The battlefield therefore changes as teams alter routes and as the randomized objective produces a different approach from match to match. The official pages do not establish a moving objective during one match.
WARDOGS building and destruction tactics
- Identify the objective route. Mark the approach your team must use to reach or reinforce the Control Zone.
- Build for a purpose. Place a forward base or defense where it protects that route, not where it merely looks safe.
- Keep a second line. A defense without a fallback turns into a trap when the zone shifts.
- Scout before destroying. Use rockets, tanks, or artillery when a structure blocks the only useful lane or protects an enemy position.
- Exploit the opening. Destruction only creates value when infantry, transport, or heavy fire can use the new route.
Common errors
- Building too far from the route the team actually uses.
- Spending resources on a position that the next zone will abandon.
- Destroying cover without warning teammates who depend on it.
- Firing heavy weapons into a structure without a follow-up push.
- Treating a single successful breach as proof that the same angle works every match.
